ILAW 101 : Introduction to Being Mother/Father In-Law

How not to turn yourself from an IN-LAW to an OUT-LAW:

 

Rule 1: Do not give advice when you are not asked to do so.

Rule 2: Do mind your own business

Rule 3: Do not ask tell your child or child's spouse how much they "should" give to you.  Giving should a voluntary act.

Rule 4: Do not compare your child or child's spouse with others.

Rule 5: Do not tell your child to doubt his/her spouse, no matter how bad your child paints the picture.

Rule 6: Do not forget any of these rules.
