Sue Thomas is really a magnificient lady. Even being deaf, she has managed to use her gift of reading lips to help the FBI crack many cases. A few years back, she even had her own inspired series, "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" (can watch in Hallmark, Astro) which starred another deaf, Deanna Bray. What really amazed me is her Godly faith and confidence. She overcame the social bridge between the hearing community and the deaf, and she credited this to her God. What a testimony!

A note of encouragement to those who don't enjoy your work, Sue was assigned to profile fingerprints in the beginning of her career with FBI. It was boring and very routine and she really felt like quitting. It was only later that she was assigned to help out in cases where she would read lips of people talking in videos and went on undercover surveillance. So be faithful in the boring stuff you are doing, because you may never know, one day your hidden talent will be discovered and life will never be the same again!
